The Southeast Catechist Conference (now with diocesan representation throughout the East Coast US) is a collaborative diocesan effort to engage, form, and equip catechists, volunteers, Catholic school teachers, parents, and others to evangelize, form, and accompany those in their care throughout every phase of life.

From sacramental preparation and family faith formation to youth and young adult ministry, RCIA, adult faith formation and senior adult ministry, this conference is for all who want to grow in handing on the Faith, both volunteers and professionals. All Catholics are called to evangelize and catechize!

How does this virtual conference work?

Register for the free event.

Carve out time on the conference weekend to watch on-demand presentations and join live events.

Log in to the conference site when the conference opens on August 12 (we will email your login credentials).

Engaging during the free weekend.

Once you log in to the conference, you will be able to watch recorded video presentations or register for email reminders to join live events via Zoom.

The conference is free to access throughout the weekend of August 12-15.

Here are a few answers to our most common questions

Is there any certification for attending?

Yes, there will be certification credits attached to this event for catechists and Catholic school teachers. Please consult your respective diocesan home page during the conference for more information about obtaining certification credits.

How do I participate in the conference?

Your level of engagement is completely up to you. The Free Pass provides you with password protected access to all of the conference presentations and live sessions throughout the free weekend. Consult with your parish leaders as to whether or not they plan to host a watch party.

Where do I get technical support?

Participating dioceses have partnered with Virtual Catholic Conference, who will have help desk support available to troubleshoot any needs.

What is the conference schedule?

We will release an official conference schedule soon, but the only days where there are scheduled live events are on August 12-13 in the evening and August 14 from 9am ET to 2PM ET. The recorded presentations are available throughout the free weekend (or beyond with the Diocesan Support Pass) for you to log in and watch at any time.

Can I join from my mobile device?

Yes! The conference page is a responsive design, and viewable on mobile, tablet, laptop, and desktop computers.

Can people outside of participating dioceses attend?

Yes! While only participating dioceses are eligible to benefit from the Diocesan Support Pass, we encourage participation from other dioceses. Please share.
